Homemade Cat Food

Contains all the vitamins and minerals your cat needs!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey, chicken, or duck ground or cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil for omega 6
  • 1,000 mg krill oil for omega 3
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried, ground eggshell for calcium
  • 1 teaspoon ground flax for fiber
  • 1,000 mg taurine essential for cats

Instructions

  • Cook the poultry, remove from heat and stir in egg. Set aside to cool.
  • In a 300 degree oven, dry the eggshell for 15 minutes. Grind to a powder.
  • Add the poultry and egg mixture, the eggshell powder, and all other ingredients to a food processor and pulse until mixed well. You can leave small chunks of meat if your cat prefers that.
  • Cats don’t eat much, so this may last you. You can freeze and thaw (and slightly warm if your cat likes that)

Notes

This recipe makes approximately 1.5 pounds (24 oz) of food, which is intended to last about 3 days for one cat at 8 oz per day. This can be halved for two meals per day at 4 oz per meal.
